Hey everyone! I haven't posted in a long time! Sorry about that...anywhase, we just got our new animals for the summer! I don't have any pictures right now but I will try to get some soon. So, we got a donkey this year!! It's just a little burro, a couple feet tall, but we can ride it! The donkey's name is Missy, and the we have a goat (which is really nice and very friendly!) who's name is Chester. Then we have two lambs and since we are big hunters, we named them after kinds of guns...Beneli and Remington (Remy and Benny). And then we got 4 ducks again. So I am very excited about this summer and training Missy to let people ride her and taming the little lambs (who are really scared of people right now). It will be an amazing busy summer! :)
And now I want to post about my Brother and Sister-in-law's adoption. So, in another post I had told you all about them adopting from Memphis Tennessee. Well, around January, when some of my sisters and I were at Tyler and Jessie's house, I was trying to put my nephew to sleep for his nap, and Lauren and Jessie were in the office on the other side of the wall that I was leaning up against...and all of the sudden I heard Jessie and she was SUPER excited and I heard her say "only 4 months!!!". So finally I went in there and she was going crazy! And she said that she had gotten a message on facebook that there was a lady at church, and her daughter was pregnant (5 months along) and she wanted to give the baby up for adoption, and she wanted to give it to them!! So we were all pretty excited about that. So after it was final that they were getting the baby, they were getting all ready for it and meeting with the mom and everything. So then in March, they told us that the mom wasn't taking care of the baby and even though she was still a couple months early, it would be better to take the baby out then keep it in. So it was pretty serious! The mom wasn't eating well and the baby (which they found out was a girl) was tiny, only about 1 pound and 6 or 7 months along! So the doctors gave the mom something to keep the baby in for at least 2 weeks and after that, if it didn't do anything, they were going to take her out. So we were all praying that she could stay in at least a couple more weeks, and even until her due-date. And God answered our prayers! The doctors just kept on saying every week that she was fine and she could stay in a little longer and even though she didn't stay all the way to her due-date she was only about 3 weeks early! PTL! She was very healthy although tiny...5lbs 3oz and 17 inches long but she was SO much bigger than what they thought she was going to be. Tyler and Jessie named her Madilyn Alaina (Maddie). Everyone was so happy! Then one day we got a text from Jessie that the birth father had backed out and wanted Maddie back! Both the birth dad and mom had 30 days to back out. Everybody was so sad! So everybody started praying for the situation. Tyler and Jessie got to keep her for a little under a month until the court date on May 20th. If the birth father didn't show up, Madilyn was Tyler and Jessie's. But if he did show up they pretty much didn't have a chance. So we were all praying so hard and on May 20th, Mom came in to wake us up and told us that Jessie had called and the dad didn't show up at court and Maddie was their's!! God answers prayers!! Madilyn is a little over a month old and is getting bigger and cuter! It is so wonderful to have Maddie in our family! PTL!!
